Tangle List Update #3: New Links Added January 2019

Thank you all very much for the kind words, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your support helped and was greatly appreciated. I am so touched by the kindness of the Zentangle® community. I always knew it was a positive community in general, but it’s something else to be on the receiving end of all that kindness when you’re at a low point. Thank you all.

Here’s the current situation with Tangle List. I’ve got a few more posts scheduled after this one. Most of these posts are about catching up on news from last year. After those scheduled posts are published, updates and new content will be more sporadic. It’s not like Tangle List ever had a “regular” posting schedule, but I’m still taking things on a day-to-day basis, and February is lining up to be a busy month for me. If Tangle List goes silent for awhile, this is why.

MAJOR UPDATE! The List of Zentangle Art Challenges & Creative Prompts has been rewritten with a few new challenges and creative prompts added.

Zenuari 2019 (.pdf file) – 31 Zentangle creative prompts to be completed on each day of the month of January. Follow along in the Zenuari 2019 Facebook Group or hashtag #zenuari2019.

Note: The above .pdf link goes to a really nice 20 page free e-book full of Zentangle-related creative prompts. Although it’s called “Zenuari,” these are excellent prompts for anytime of the year! I highly recommend saving this .pdf and keeping it around for whenever you need a creative boost. Here are the previous Zenuari creative prompts: 

Today’s Tangles: Keeping it Classic (Facebook Group) – One new string and a few Official Zentangle Tangle Patterns to be completed in the “traditional Zentangle format” of a white tile and black ink. – Updated Weekly

#FullMoonMosaic (Instagram) – One new string and tangles or technique to use with it. The string is usually a circle, but sometimes a crescent, half-moon, or other moon-based string is used. – Updated Monthly

Random Tangle Generator – Need help choosing a tangle? Press the button on the Random Tangle Generator and you’ll receive a randomly selected tangle pattern from the List of Official Zentangle Tangle Patterns.

List of Zentangle Resources — Looking for more online Zentangle resources? Rhonda Roy, CZT over at A Tangling Life has put together a list of helpful Zentangle blogs and websites from around the internet.

Fullmoon Step-Out (Slide #5) — Fullmoon, by Tomás Padrós, is a combination of the tangles Crescent Moon, SeZ, and Membranart. I encourage fans of the Official Tangle Patterns to check this mass tangelation out.
